Disable USB Storage in Windows 7
Revision as of 10:17, 1 March 2017 by Michael.mast (talk | contribs)
- Edit the following registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
- Change "Start" to hexadecimal "4".
- The change will happen immediately and the user will not notice anything. If any USB storage devices are already mounted they will stay mounted. If they are unmounted and re-attached the system will not mount the drives.
