Problem

Everytime I log into Server 2019 I get notified I am logged in as a temporary profile. No other details provided other than logging off and back on.

Solution

[1]Delete a registry entry that has my profile attached.

  • The relevant keys can be found here
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
  • I found the one that has C:\Users\username and deleted the entire folder.
  • Logged off and back on without issue.
